The sculpture, characterized by an uneven and theatrical distribution of weights, refers to the myth of Sisyphus, the king Corinthus that wanted to challenge the gods and that was punished by being compelled to roll a huge boulder up a hill, only to watch it roll back down, and to repeat this throughout eternity.
